After a record seven weeks off the LGA broke the record for the latest date in a season during which an 'official' event was held,
namely the 26th of November. Although the greens were slightly icy at the outset, the conditions improved and a beautiful day
was had by all, golf scores excepted. Costa Doinbiznis put a double-digit scoring average on the line, and after an ugly
front-nine 55, came in with a 43 which would best be described as sizzling, especially given the late November setting. His
back nine included three pars, catapulting him past midway leader Fred Cupholders and on to a four-shot win, his fifth of 2006.
Completing the rightie one-two sweep was the aforementioned Cupholders, who once again at the outset believed himself to
be in contention for LGA Player of The Year honours. Although Fred had more breathing room with respect to his own
double-digit season scoring average, he did nothing to improve his situation, carding a ho-hum 102. Chris The 9-Iron Kid
surprised the Association with his late season appearance. Although Chris did not hit the ball exceptionally well, his 32-putt
performance enabled him to avert total embarrassment, as he finished only a stroke higher than his less than stellar average
score, despite posting a vomit-dispensing 62 coming in. The embarrassment of the day was once again reserved for one Paul
Hornsby III, whose season continues to deteriorate, even though he thought it was over weeks ago. After a snot filled first hole
11, Hornsby's drudgery continued generally unabated, as he completed his par-free round with a score of 113, although his 10
on the par-4 15th, a hole on which he was able to play two great shots anyway, deserves dishonourable mention.
