After another weekend off due to a lack of sufficient number of participants, the 2008 LGA season stretched in to the month
of October with a visit to Caughnawaga, where the field braved strong winds, as the scores would so painfully indicate.
Eyeing another easy victory against a weak field, Hale Erwin Norman grabbed the lead for good on the fifth hole and coasted
to an easy 12 shot win over Chris The 9-Iron Kid. Norman appeared to be headed for a score well over 100, but his back
nine 47 salvaged the day to a degree, as he landed square on the century mark. Once again the real battle was for second
place, with the 5th, 6th and 7th ranked tour members fighting it out from beginning to end. After scoring 11 on the par-5 1st
hole, it was Chris The 9-Iron Kid who would emerge into the runner-up spot, but only after carding his first par of the day on
the par-5 finishing hole. Chris's round included 44 putts, and he has yet to break 100 late into this '08 campaign. Four shots
behind 9-Iron was Pietro Lewinsky, who failed to follow up on his career best game of two weeks ago. Although Lewinsky
did accumulate another win versus all opponents, he blew another golden opportunity for a second place result, as he
required 22 shots to complete the final three holes. Paul Hornsby III rounded out the field, after another difficult day on the
links. Hornsby putted 42 times, and appeared to continue to nurse his injured left hand. "This is so bad I might consider
seeing a doctor", Hornsby said to reporters after the match, nearly a full two months after having suffered the injury.
Unfortunately for Hornsby, Dr. Blondin did not attend the event.
