54-58--- 112
A legally minimum field of three headed to Meadowbrook on a sunny and warm October day for another LGA 'official' event.
Among the field was Paul Hornsby III, after declaring the previous week that he would not be attending. Paul claims he showed
up just so that the event could have its 'official' status, but I doubt that anyone could be so selfless. As for the golf, Dr. Mario
Blondin took advantage of a birdie on the par-5 8th hole, and more importantly the lack of talent of his opponents, en route to an
8-shot runaway victory over Chris The 9-Iron Kid. Blondin chose his 'grandpa' style of play for this round, sacrificing distance to
keep it in the fairway. This strategy proved more than successful as he was the only player to break 100. For Chris The-9-Iron
Kid, who has now appeared in the last seven LGA events, by far a personal record, the bad holes once again contributed to his
disappointing score. His 10 on the par-4 2nd hole was particularly noteworthy. And while on the subject of noteworthiness,
Paul Hornsby III, appearing in his 187th straight LGA event, once again beating his own all-time LGA mark, showed why he
may have been better off taking a break. In what Hornsby himself called a 'festival of triple bogeys, it seemed that poor Paul
couldn't do anything right once again. When approached for a comment after the round, Hornsby was cautiously optimistic.
"Thirty-three putts for the day is pretty good. Too bad about the 79 other shots." Fortunately for 'Da Turd' , the 2007 season will
be over soon.

44-47---   91
51-48---   99
51-48---   99
The LGA extended the 2007 season into late October with a trip to Caughnawaga on a beautiful autumn day. The all-lefty trio
made lefties everywhere proud as they were all able to score in double digits, however barely. Dr. Mario Blondin managed only
three pars, but his steady play after his famous 124 at the Lefty Olympics continued. Mario entered the clubhouse with a 91,
taking the tournament by 8 shots for his third straight victory and seventh of the year. Where the story gets really positive is
when examining the rest of the results. Chris The 9-Iron Kid and Paul Hornsby III finished tied for second place, with both
posting 51-48's to break 100, and in Hornsby's case, to
finally break the century mark. The last time Hornsby achieved this was
June 10, 2007, a period spanning 17 events. It was also Hornsby's second sub-100 round of the entire season, while for 9-Iron
it was only his fourth, and first since September 9th. It was also Chris The 9-Iron Kid's eighth consecutive appearance, which
adds up to more events than Chris has played during some entire seasons, proving that he has finally recovered from his
penis enlargement surgery of several years back. Getting back to Hornsby, when asked after the round how good it felt getting
the monkey off his back, Hornsby replied, "It wasn't a monkey, it was an (expletive) gorilla, and a fat one at that!"
