The LGA started the month of June with a barely official field of three tackling Caughnawaga for a third straight event. With
Hale Erwin Norman a last minute cancellation, Dr. Mario Blondin drooled after looking over the starting lineup, anticipating an
easy victory. And easy it was, as the doctor took advantage of three pars on the first six holes, and let the weakness of his
opposition do the rest, running away with a ten shot win over fellow lefthander Paul Hornsby III, for his first tournament victory
of the 2007 campaign. Blondin hit the ball very well all day, and would have scored much lower if he could put the ball in the
hole, as his 37 putts would attest to. Paul Hornsby III was in contention very early, but found himself too far back after the par-3
fourth hole, where he hit two balls out of bounds from the tee box, leading to an expensive eight. 'Da Turd' appeared a little bit
under the weather during the round, as he was seen sitting down betwen holes, something Hornsby never does. Third place
fell to Pietro Lewinsky, who continued to display his new and improved swing. After a pukey front nine 65, things picked up for
Lewinsky. His back nine 53 was his best ever at The Cog, leading to a 118 score, his season low so far. Like Hornsby, Pietro
started with par, but would fall out of contention after an atrocious 13 on the par-5 5th. It was one of the few times in
Lewinsky's career that he played a full 18 holes without counting a single air ball, or as the pros call it, a full miss.

The Association returned to Les Legendes for another 'official' LGA event, this one concluding in dramatic fashion. In fact, it
was close throughout the tournament, but it was on 18 that all was decided, or perhaps we should say undecided, as both
Paul Hornsby III and Fred Cupholders drained long putts on 18, to enter the clubhouse tied at 98, one shot better than third
place finisher Dr. Mario Blondin. The doctor, visibly fatigued from another late night surgical session, led by two headed to the
18th, but would hit his tee shot into the trees on the right hand side. Mario would include an air ball among his nine shots
needed to complete the hole. For Hornsby, it was another topsy-turvy round. He led by three through seven before completing
the front nine with eight and nine for a 50 total, but his 25-foot putt on 18 assured him a half-win as well as his first sub-100
round in almost a year. For Cupholders, his 28 putt round, low number in the LGA this season, made the difference. His
12-footer on 18 was equally critical in shutting out the doctor. Completing the field was Costa Doinbiznis, also visibly fatigued
after an almost sleepless night. 'The Biz', although finishing only four shots back, fell out of contention early, after a vomit
splattering 12 on the par-5 second hole. Still, he avoided destroying his seasonal stats by carding a 102. Costa's nine on the
par-4 13th also deserves dishonourable mention. We are compelled to remind you again that in the event of a tie between a
lefty and a rightie, the LGA always give the lefthander 'top billing'.

The LGA returned to The Cog for another in this season's series of occasional Friday events. With the rough deep and the
greens fast, the course would obviously be difficult, but our LGA heroes, as usual, made it even more so. Paul Hornsby III took
advantage of some crappy holes by his opponents to jump to an early lead, and never looked back, despite his failure to score
any regulation greens or pars for the day, on his way to a seven shot victory over fellow southpaw Chris The 9-Iron Kid. Paul
now has three LGA event wins in 2007, two more than all of last year. Despite the win, Hornsby's only redeeming quality on
this day was that he was able to avoid the really huge numbers, which would not be true for the rest of the field. For 9-Iron, his
tee shot on one, after finding the ditch, would lead to an 11, while he would repeat the sextuple bogey feat on the back nine
with a 10 on the par-4 12th. His 111 would drop him behind Hornsby in scoring average ranking. For Fred Cupholders, who
finished 10 shots back, an 11 on the par-5 5th was the straw that cracked the Cupholders' rack, if I may. Fred's 114 was his
worst LGA round since June 1, 2002, way back to the time before he found his birth certificate, when he was known as Al Fred,
a period of more than five years! "If this wasn't an official Lefty Golfers Association event, I would have quit", Cupholders said
after the event, although I admit that Fred's words are probably slightly paraphrased here.

In a repeat of the month commencing event of just over two weeks ago, with Hale Erwin Norman once again a last minute
cancellation, this time citing "soaking wet conditions", which in retrospect could not be much farther from the truth, Dr. Mario
Blondin salivated yet again at his prospects for victory. He would not leave the course disappointed, although he failed to
break 100 while coasting to an easy 13 stroke win. It was another scary LGA tournament during which the champion was
unable to score a single par. Still, the doctor pulled away during holes five and six, where his cumulative 11 over the two
holes, an admittedly not so great 3-over, would be six better than the perfrormances of both of the opponents over the same
stretch. Actually, runner-up Paul Hornsby III spent most of his day focused on holding off Pietro Lewinsky, who was poised to
defeat 'Da Turd' for a second time in his career, except that he would fire an 8 on the beer hole 17th, allowing Hornsby to grab
second spot easily in spite of finding the water on 18. Hornsby found many other water hazards over the course of the event.
His 114 was only one stroke shy of his season's worst, while Lewinsky tied his year's best. Although Pietro continued to
display his new and improved swing, he reverted to old form during the back nine with a couple of unexpected but spectacular
air balls, contributing further to his last place finish. Blondin now has two LGA event victories in 2007.

The Woodlands course at Bellevue, site of some the LGA's greatest moments (and let's not forget some of its worst), hosted
this week's official event. Appearing in only his second tournament of the season, Hale Erwin Norman fired six pars on the
front nine as part of a sizzling 41, and would extend the pars total to nine before the day was done on his way to an easy six
shot win over top righthander Fred Cupholders. Norman appeared destined to break 90 until 18 where he would hit his tee
shot out of bounds, resulting in a 10. Second place Cupholders played a steady round, and probably would have won had
Norman not decided to grace the league with a rare start. Fred's 32 putt performance was impressive considering the
wickedly fast speed of the greens. Finishing in third place was Costa Doinbiznis. After scoring consecutive pars on one and
two, 'The Biz' never looked back, leaving the world of quality golf play for its barf-ingesting alternative. In fairness to Doinbiznis,
he simply had problems with the short putts, but otherwise played an acceptable, if not solid round. Strangely, It was the first
time in '07 that Costa did not finish in either first place or last place in an LGA event. And speaking of last place and
barf-ingestion, Paul Hornsby III rounded out the field, posting another disappointing score, this time a 113. Although his 10 on
the par-4 8th was ugly, his 9 from the rocks on the beer hole par-3 16th was truly hideous. Norman's surprise victory makes
him one of the early favourites to take the Lefty Classic, the LGA's first major of the season, scheduled for July 2nd.

Cool and sunny weather greeted the LGA as another Saturday morning tournament was held at Caughnawaga. This
competition turned out being no contest as Costa Doinbiznis carded two birdies, increasing his season total to seven, and
was also able to avoid disaster, as his single triple-bogey would attest, for a spectacularly easy victory over Dr. Mario Blondin.
The 13-stroke runaway puts Doinbiznis' win total at 6.5 for the year, and his 87 equalled his career best and was his second
sub-90 round of the season. Runner-up Blondin did not have the best of days, but there were some positive aspects. He
shared beer hole honours with the champion, but it would be Mario's only par on the scorecard. The doctor also missed an
18-inch putt on the par-5 18th for a double digit score. "I kissed my sister again.", was Blondin's comment after the missed
putt, although admittedly we never knew he had such tendencies. Grabbing third spot, four shots behind Mario, Paul Hornsby
III could only be envious of Blondin's single par, not having achieved one himself. He did maintain hope of breaking 100 for
only a second time this year until 14 where he would take two water penalties en route to a nine. Fred Cupholders completed
the field with another crappy performance by his standards, which seem to be rapidly diminishing. Fred hit the ball well but
four-putted four times (heave!!!), mostly from short range. His total of putts for the day would arrive at 44, a stomach emptying
number indeed. His back nine 62 would probably not hold food down for very long either.
